Jon Dingwall, 9, and his sister, Taylor, 10, who were described by a family member as "best buds," were catching frogs at their grandma's house a few weeks ago. The siblings, the son and daughter of Jon and Kami Dingwall, are from Brandon. Jon died from injuries sustained in an accident involving a utility vehicle accident north of Millerville Thursday, Aug. 17. (Contributed)

Kevin Dettler, house manager at the James House in Willmar, said it was "very fortunate" that none of the residents in the halfway rehabilitation home were injured when lightning struck house and caused a fire in the roof Monday. At the time, Dettler said he did not know where the residents would go if they were unable to occupy the facility. Fire officials later said the Salvation Army was assisting with locating temporary housing. play button
