Diversity event set Sept. 22 in Montevideo
MONTEVIDEO — Business owners and employers interested in learning how to attract and retain quality employees, expand customer base, reduce risk of litigation and enhance performance and innovation, are welcome to attend an event in Montevideo, called the Power of Different. The event is about using diversity as a competitive advantage.
Tracy Hassan, a professional speaker, customer service and employee engagement trainer; and Luke Greiner, state Department of Employment and Economic Development regional labor market analyst, will speak about how diversity in the workforce can help a business succeed and grow. There will also be a business panel and group discussion and opportunity to network.
The event is from 8 a.m. to noon Friday, Sept. 22, at the Crossings at Montevideo. Registration and tickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-power-of-different-tickets-36904879488. There is a $20 registration fee,which includes breakfast and refreshments. Registration is needed by Sept. 15.
The event is coordinated by the Southwest Initiative Foundation, city of Montevideo, Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council, Southwest/West Central Service Cooperative, Montevideo Area Chamber of Commerce, and Central Minnesota Jobs & Training Services.
