Meeker Memorial Hospital CEO to retire
LITCHFIELD — Kyle Rasmussen, the CEO of Meeker Memorial Hospital & Clinics in Litchfield, has announced his retirement. He will be retiring in May, after serving as CEO since September 2009.
Rasmussen has worked for 30 years in the hospital administration field. In a news release announcing his retirement, Rasmussen said that Meeker Memorial has a bright future, but it was time to refocus and redirect his efforts.
"I wanted to go out on top," Rasmussen said.
During his tenure as CEO, Meeker Memorial saw the completion of a 75,000-square-foot hospital expansion, development of the patient experience and GEM program, continued remodeling of the hospital and clinics and a $1.56 million redesign innovation project for the Center for Senior Behavioral Health.
"Meeker Memorial has thrived through a difficult health care reimbursement time period and went from being a financially stable organization to financially strong during his leadership," the news release said.
In the next months, the Meeker Memorial Hospital Board of Directors will begin the formal process of recruiting the new CEO.
"Meeker Memorial has a continued strong commitment to the area residents it serves, and this change for Kyle will offer opportunity for the next CEO leader to do great things too," the news release said.
