ACMC psychologist named to rural health committee

Phillips

WILLMAR — The American Psychological Association has elected ACMC psychologist Dr. Kristi Phillips to sit on the Committee on Rural Health.

The committee's mission is to make sure rural and remote populations are able to achieve optimal health and well-being by ensuring equal protection and respect for those living in rural regions, along with integrating rural perspectives into the association's policy and removing barriers to comprehensive health care.

While on the committee Phillips will work with affiliated psychological associations, federal and state agencies, national and state legislatures and national organizations with an interest in rural populations to advance improved behavioral health care in rural communities.
