Ridgewater instructor earns national recognition
WILLMAR — Ridgewater College's Jon Wood, psychology and leadership instructor and adviser for the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, has been named a faculty scholar for the honor society's two-year international college.
Wood is one of three Minnesota faculty scholars and one of 30 scholars nationwide. This is the second time Wood has been named a faculty scholar. He also served in 2015.
In addition to advising the 70 honor society inductees per year on the Willmar campus, Wood is also piloting a class on the Hutchinson campus which uses the society's leadership development curriculum.
As one of the society's faculty scholars, Wood will help plan the society's 2018 and 2019 national four-day Honors Institute in June at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
