(Dec 1 & 7, 2017) SECTION 00 11 13 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS KMS ELEMENTARY KITCHEN ADDITION & RENOVATIONS 408 Hollis Street Murdock, Minnesota 56271 BID DATE AND LOCATION: INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #775 will receive single prime sealed bids for the KMS Elementary Kitchen Addition & Renovation Project until 2:00 PM local time on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the District Office, 302 North 15th Street, Kerkhoven, Minnesota 56252 at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Absolutely no bids will be accepted after 2:00 PM. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project includes an addition of 1,600 SF and renovation of 3,500 SF for a kitchen addition and renovations to the existing kitchen and student dining areas at KMS Elementary School. EXAMINATION OF DOCUMENTS: The Bidding Documents (Proposal Form, Drawings and Specifications) are available for Download to prospective Bidders and Subcontractors by contacting Owner’s Representative, ICS Consulting, Inc., 3890 Pheasant Ridge Drive NE, Suite #180, Blaine, Minnesota 55449, (763) 354-2670. Prospective Bidder and Subcontractors will be given instructions and a password allowing them to download complete sets of the Bidding Documents. Additionally, Bidding Documents will be on file at the Offices of the Owner’s Representative, ICS Consulting; the Minnesota Builder’s Exchange; McGraw Hill Construction/Dodge Plan Center, Reed Construction; iSqFt Plan Room (St. Paul, MN); and St. Cloud Builders Exchange. BIDDING REQUIREMENTS: Each Bidder must submit their Bid in duplicate on the bid forms provided in the Project Manual. Absolutely no oral, telegraphic, telephonic or electronic proposals or modifications to the bid form will be accepted. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in amount of 5% of base bid submitted, made payable to INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT #775, as guarantee that bidder will, if awarded, enter into contract in accordance with contract documents and submitted bid. Bids may not be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of opening Bids, without the consent of the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to accept a bid or to reject any or all bids, parts of such bids, and waive informalities or irregularities in Bidding. PRE-BID CONFERENCE: There will be a pre-bid conference for this project held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 @ 1:30 PM. Contractors interested in this project are highly encouraged to attend. Contractors are also free to visit the site and become familiar with the site conditions outside of the pre-bid conference. Contractors are required to check-in at the main office when arriving on site. Site visits are encouraged before and after school hours (7:45 AM – 3:00 PM). START DATE: Work may begin after receipt of the signed contract from the Owner. Pre-construction and submittals work related to the project is to commence immediately after receipt of the signed Contract. The work on the premise is anticipated to begin in two phases: Phase I (Addition): March 12, 2018; and Phase II (Renovations): June 18, 2018.
