Legion riders hold legacy fund ride across west central Minnesota
WILLMAR – The District 7 American Legion Riders Post No. 59, Montevideo, legacy fund ride, was held Saturday, July 21.
Leaving from Montevideo, the ride made stops in Spicer, Paynesville and Litchfield, as well as the American Legion in Willmar, where American Legion rider Kurt Dahl and Darrell Modica, a Post 167 Honor Guard member, were caught swapping cycling stories as 82 motorcycles “stand at ease” in the Willmar Legion parking lot.
The District 7 Riders were mainly out of Post 59 in Montevideo and were riding to raise money for the Legacy Fund. One rider emphasized the two-wheeled caravan enjoyed the help of local law enforcement and Legion hospitality all along the way.
