Life Connections has become a tradition for mature adults of Willmar and southwest Minnesota providing exhibits, seminars, entertainment and probably most important — interaction — for those who attend.

This year’s entertainment includes an entertaining show by the musical Kingery family of Grove City and polka music by the Larry Olsen Band from the Lake Benton area.

Seminar topics range from fitness to “Frauds & Scams.” Other highlights of the day include Dad’s Belgian waffles, bingo, Cub pie fest and great prizes.

Grand prize will be a lift chair from Slumberland Furniture of Willmar.

Transportation from the parking lot of the Civic Center to the front door will be provided compliments of Compassionate Care and their friendly drivers.

In addition, the 2013 Outstanding Senior Award, sponsored by West Central Sanitation, will be presented at Life Connections.

“It’s exhibitors, entertainment, seminars, prizes and a lot of fun. This event is beginning to have a real following here in Willmar. Whether you come join your friends for a waffle breakfast, pie and coffee in the afternoon, or play bingo, you are sure to have a great time. Come spend the day, you’ll be glad you did,” said Renee Smith, Life Connections coordinator. “We hope to see you there!”

Advance tickets are $4 and are available at Cub Foods, Willmar Community Center, West Central Tribune, Cornerstone Coffee and Cash Wise Foods. Tickets at the door are $5. Dad’s Belgian waffle breakfast is available for just $1, and pie and coffee in the afternoon is also just $1, with proceeds going to hospice.

Major sponsors include Southwest Initiative Foundation, UCare and Touching Hearts at Home.

Co-sponsors include Cub Foods and Health Insurance Services.

Pioneer Public TV and Cash Wise Foods are the entertainment sponsors, and Heritage Bank is the breakfast sponsor.
