According to Kandiyohi County Sheriff Dan Hartog, the incident began when a 24-year-old woman was involved in an altercation at a home along County Road 8.

She left the home, walking along the county road, and called several individuals from Willmar to come and pick her up along the roadway.

As the woman was getting into the vehicle, a 2004 Kia Sorento, a 43-year-old Lake Lillian woman driving a 1997 Ford Ranger and a 21-year-old Wheaton woman driving a 1998 Plymouth Breeze, allegedly rammed their vehicles into the Kia. The woman was pinned between an open door and the body of the vehicle.

She was taken by ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Two passengers inside the Kia were also taken to the hospital for treatment of possible back injuries.

Possible charges against the two other women include second-degree assault, domestic assault, property damage and child endangerment.

They are expected to make their first court appearances today.
