It took some coaxing, but 3-year-old Addysen Hamstad smiled for photos Thursday at Cost Cutters.

It was a day she had looked forward to for a long time, her mother, Jami Hamstad of Pennock, said. Addysen was donating her hair to Locks of Love, a nonprofit organization that collects hair to be used for hair prosthetics for disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Addysen has wanted to give Locks her hair ever since she heard about it, Jami said.
