5 injured in 1-car accident in Stearns County
ST. JOSEPH -- Five people were hurt in a one-car crash at 1:10 p.m. Sunday on County Road 2 near the intersection of 360th Street, approximately five miles north of St. Joseph, the Stearns County Sheriff's Office said.
They were the driver, Rodaliza Opiso Walsh, 31, of Maynard and passengers Lawrence Edward Walsh, 81, Leora Gayl Walsh, 79, and Bridget Pearl Walsh, 16, all three of Ortonville, and a 14-year-old male family member from Montevideo.
The sheriff's department said Rodaliza Walsh was driving a silver 1998 Buick Park Avenue southbound on County Road 2 when she lost control of the car, causing it to run off the road and strike a power pole.
Lawrence and his wife Leora, Bridget and the juvenile male were all treated for their injuries at the scene by St. Stephen Fire and Rescue, and Lawrence, Bridget and the juvenile male were transported to St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance.
The others received minor injuries and were taken to the hospital by personal vehicle.
