91-year-old woman ID’d as person discovered in home by local firefighters
WILLMAR — The person found after the Willmar Fire Department responded to a house fire Tuesday morning is Frances Anderson, 91, of Willmar.
The identification was released Wednesday afternoon by Fire Chief Gary Hendrickson.
Anderson was located when firefighters searched the residence at 1210 Willmar Ave. S.E. Fire crews, Willmar police and Willmar Ambulance were called at 6:51 a.m. Tuesday to the home after a passerby noticed smoke coming from the eaves of the home. Fire crews arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of the residence.
The blaze was also investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
According to her obituary from the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar, Anderson’s service is at 2 p.m. Friday at the Olivia City Cemetery in Olivia.
