Accident kills one in Cottonwood County
STORDEN -- One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident yesterday in Cottonwood County.
The name of the victim has not been released.
The accident happened at 8 a.m. Tuesday on state Highway 30 east of Storden. The road was in icy condition at the time.
According to the State Patrol, a 1995 Toyota Corolla that was going west on Highway 30 struck a semi that was going east. The vehicles collided in the east-bound lane.
The semi driver, Lonnie Edwards, 51, of Heron Lake, was not injured.
The highway was shut down for about four hours.
