ACGC wins second match, heads to Class A consolation championship

Atwater-Grove City-Cosmos won a 41-25 victory Thursday over Pierz in a consolation semi-final match at the Class A state wrestling tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

ACGC now moves on to the Class A consolation championship match at 5 p.m. today.

Things were not going well for ACGC wrestlers early as they slipped behind Sibley East 12-6 after six matches. The Falcons sustained consecutive 1-point losses at 126, 132 and 138 pounds. The Wolverines went on to win 30-24 in the Class A quarterfinal.
