ACGC's Slinden signs with Augustana; NLS' Moten with Bemidji St.

Joel Slinden of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City has signed a letter of intent to play football for Augustana College, while Jay Moten of New London-Spicer has signed with Bemidji St.

Slinden, a 6-3, 215-pound offensive tackle, was co-Most Valuable Linemen in the West Central South Conference with Jeff Jerve (see above) this fall. He helped the Falcons produce a pair of 1,000-yard running backs this past fall.

Moten, a 5-10, 160-pound safety/wingback, helped NLS reach the Class AAA state semifinals. He had 504 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, had three TD receptions and also intercepted three passes.
