ACMC, Allina clinic merger is finalized
WILLMAR -- An agreement to merge the Litchfield clinics of Affiliated Community Medical Centers and Allina will take effect June 26, the two organizations have announced.
The plans were finalized this month. The deal calls for Allina's clinic in Litchfield to become part of the ACMC regional health care delivery system.
Officials for the two entities said the merger will allow them to better meet the community's needs by creating an integrated local health care delivery model that enhances primary and specialty care services for patients.
By joining forces, they'll also be in a better position to deal with challenges such as the rising cost of health care, capital demands and physician recruitment, officials said.
The consolidated clinics will provide services under the banner of Affiliated Community Medical Centers. They will continue at two clinic locations, with a goal of having all providers and staff under one roof within 18 to 24 months.
