ACMC hosts grand opening for new clinic in Marshall, Minn.
MARSHALL — Despite a blizzard in the middle of April, providers and staff celebrated with the community during the grand opening of Affiliated Community Medical Center’s new clinic in Marshall with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and public open house on Thursday afternoon.
According to a news release, the new clinic welcomed hundreds of people for tours of the new facility, door prizes, refreshments and the opportunity to speak with ACMC providers and staff.
Already open about a month, the new clinic, located at 1521 Carlson St., merged the providers and services previously located at the ACMC-Marshall Bruce Street and Market Street locations into one building. The two-story, 45,000-square-foot facility offers primary care, specialty services, lab, imaging and visiting specialists.
A state-of-the-art magnetic resonance imaging scanner is also an addition to ACMC at the new facility. The scanner can produce very detailed images and is often used to examine the brain and spinal cord, bones and joints, breasts, heart and blood vessels.
The new clinic was designed to create a welcoming environment for patients and staff and enable ACMC to provide quality health care to the community and surrounding area.
“Our goal has always been to provide exceptional, quality care with patient focused services,” said Dr. Ronald Holmgren, ACMC president and chief executive. “We feel the new ACMC-Marshall clinic provides all of this in a convenient location for patient access with coordinated care. We are pleased with the new facility in Marshall which will allow us to best serve our patients with comprehensive health services.”
