ACMC offering H1N1 vaccination to select groups

WILLMAR -- Affiliated Community Medical Centers is now offering H1N1 novel influenza vaccination appointments to groups of people who are considered at highest risk of getting sick.

These high-risk categories include:

- All pregnant women.

- Children and adults who live with or provide care for infants younger than 6 months of age.

- Health care and emergency medical services personnel who have direct contact with patients or infectious material.

- All children ages 6 months through 9 years.

- Children and adolescents ages 10 to 18 years who have chronic medical conditions, such as asthma, diabetes or other lung problems that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.

People who fit any of these criteria can contact ACMC between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.
