ST. MARTIN -- Ada T. Schlick, 96, of St. Martin, died Monday at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the St. Martin Parish Center with parish prayers at 7 p.m. followed by a rosary with the Catholic Aid Association, St. Ann's Christian Women and the Rosary Sodality and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the parish center. Arrangements are by Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond.
She was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Fort Atkinson, Iowa, to Fred and Anna (Tieskoetter) Tekippe.
She worked as a legal secretary in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She married Edwin Schlick in May 1944, and they moved to the Schlick farm in St. Martin. He died in a farm accident in 1971.
She married Henry Schlick on Dec. 23, 1974. She was the St. Martin columnist for the Paynesville Press for many years. She was a 4-H leader and a member of the St. Martin Lions. She was a member of St. Martin Parish, St. Ann's Christian Women, Catholic Aid Association and the Rosary Sodality.
She is survived by her husband; four children: Jim (and Sharon) of St. Cloud, Joe (and Mary Jo) of St. Martin, John (and Loretta) of Willmar and Anne (and Gary) Lauer of Hugo; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; seven brothers and sisters and one grandchild.
