Adeline Svoboda May 18, 1926 - July 23, 2013

OLIVIA - Adeline Svoboda, age 87, of Olivia, MN passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her home in Willmar, MN. Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, July 27th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Mallak as celebrant. Visitation is Friday 5-8 p.m. at Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia. Visitation continues Saturday morning at the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Monday at 12:35 p.m. (meet at Assembly Area #6)

Adeline Bernice Svoboda was born to Alfred and Louise Suess on May 18, 1926. She attended country school in Brown County. On January 8, 1946 she married Peter Svoboda in Leavenworth, MN. She lived her married life on the family farm south of Olivia. On July of 2012, due to declining health she moved in with her granddaughter, Beth Franzen in Willmar, MN.

Adeline is survived by her four children Gerry (Carol) Svoboda of Sioux Falls, SD; Ron (Paulette) Svoboda of Olivia; Bonnie (Brad) Franzen of Spicer; Brenda (the late Steve) Maher of Alexandria. Eight grandchildren; Nathan (Amy) Svoboda, Renae (Jeff) Wagner, Christena (Alex) Ojada, Andrew (Special friend Amy) Svoboda, Beth Franzen, Barbi Franzen, Lisa (Tim) Bostrom, Andrew (Tabitha) Maher. Ten great-grandchildren; Amanda, Michelle, and Stephanie Svoboda, Hunter and Tanner Wagner, Jocelyn Franzen, Dakota, Marah, Brooklyn, and Reese Addie Bostrom, and many nieces and nephews.

Also survived by four sisters Rosella Windschitl of Sleepy Eye, Marie (Walter) Evers, Cecelia (Richard) Zwaschka, Marjorie Prokasch all of Comfrey and also her dialysis family.

Adeline was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, Peter, four brothers; Norbert, Donald, Alfred and Jimmy; three sisters Delores Zwaschka, Leonna Suess, Hildy Lowinsky, half-sister Marjorie Homer, and her son-in-law Steve Maher.
