CLARA CITY -- Adolph Arthur Martins, 90, formerly of Clara City, died Nov. 16 at St. Therese Nursing Home of New Hope.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Clara City.
He was born July 7, 1918, in Lone Tree Township, Chippewa County, to Fred and Anna (Ziehl) Martins. He attended Chippewa County District 40 School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as an auto mechanic in Italy and was honorably discharged in 1945.
He married Agnes Reiners on Nov. 20, 1946, in Clara City. He built homes in Clara City and the surrounding area for many years.
He is survived by his son: Rodney (and Charlotte) of Maple Grove; three grandsons; three great-grandchildren and one brother: Leo Martins of Guyton, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000.
