Airplanes assisting area firefighters near Regal, Minn.

REGAL -- Firefighters from area departments are being assisted by airplanes from the state Department of Natural Resources in fighting a grassfire near Regal in northern Kandiyohi County.

Crews are in the area of Regal Meadows Wildlife Management Area this evening. The Belgrade Fire Department responded, and assistance has been provided from the New London Department. Other departments have been responding as well.
