The Wildcats (5-1, 10-5) won 62 consecutive games in the West Central South conference, including six straight undefeated seasons. NLS had five straight wins as a new member of the North.

The Huskies (5-0, 8-0) take sole possession of first place in the league.

Over the past few years, Albany has been the Wildcats' nemesis, with the team's meeting annually in the conference championship game, but this year, NLS is missing leading scorer Renae Henjum to an injury.

Cassidy Vogt scored seven points and grabbed 12 rebounds to pace New London-Spicer.

Sarah Korneck netted a game-high 24 points and had nine rebounds for the Huskies. Steph DeGeest added 13 points and Sam Larson 12.
