SPICER -- Albany scored 15 runs in the top of the seventh inning to blow open a close game and go on to a 22-4 West Central North Conference baseball win on Tuesday at Green Lake Diamond.

Albany (1-0, 1-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead after two innings. Leadoff hitter Kyle Lieser singled in the first inning and scored, and then drove in two runs in the second inning with another single.

The Wildcats made it tight in the bottom of the third inning. Aaron Ruter beat out a bunt to lead off the frame and then stole second. He scored on a single by Brandon Lange and Tanner Tobkin followed with a two-out double that made it 3-2.
