MORRIS -- Alfred William Pearson, 84, of Hancock died Friday at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Hancock. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Jan. 10, 1924, in rural Pope County to Otto and Edith (Johnson) Pearson. He grew up in the Hancock area and attended country school in Pope County.
He married Beatrice Hennessy on June 15, 1949. He worked for two years at the Standard Lumber Company in Benson. He spent his remaining years farming in the Hancock area.
He was a member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Hancock.
He is survived by his wife; children: Janice (and David) Raths of Hancock and William (and Susan) Pearson of Maple Grove; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother: Harold (and Beverly) Pearson of Glenwood.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
