Alice Von Ende Aug. 15, 1918 - June 2, 2009
LITCHFIELD -- Alice Lenore Von Ende, 90, of Litchfield, died Tuesday at Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield.
The service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingston. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are with Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield.
She was born Aug. 5, 1918, in Minneapolis to Alfred and Elsie (Wynne) Bolduc. She grew up and received her education in Deerwood and Minneapolis. She graduated from Miller Vocational School as a seamstress and fitter.
She married Robert Von Ende on Jan. 2, 1943, in Minneapolis. She worked as a seamstress and fitter in the Minneapolis area. They moved Kingston in 1972. She later moved to the Dassel Lakeside Apartments where she lived for one year before moving to the Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Kingston Senior Citizens Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children: Ruth (and Bill) Knight of Burnsville, Katherine (and Steve) Clark of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., Carol (and Bill) Linn of Moneta, Va., and Mary Mielke of Winter Springs, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband; one brother and one sister.
