MILROY-- Jeremy Hinderks pitched a seven-hitter and also slugged a solo home run as the Sacred Heart Saints walloped the Milroy Yankees 8-1 on Sunday afternoon in Cornbelt League play.

Hinderks walked five and hit four. But, despite the 16 baserunners, the Yankees would accomplish little except for a single run in the seventh.

Ross Hebrink capped the scoring with a two-run homer in the top of the eighth. Nate Hebrink finished 3-for-6.

Matt Bauer, Dave Schmidt and Micah Gronli each singled and doubled for the Yanks.

Darrin Ogdahl, on the hill for the NL-S Twins, was in control all nine innings. The Lakers' only managed Chad Searcy's solo home run in the fourth.

New London-Spicer, which piled up 14 hits, went up 3-0 in the first. Ogdahl fanned seven and walked three.

Chris Braaten went the first seven for the Lakers and took the loss. The Twins added three more in the ninth on consecutive singles by Kevin Soine, Mike Danielson and Scott Rambow, the third hit for each.

The Lakers (4-6) will play Starbuck Thursday, a 6:30 p.m. game at Willie Reigstad Field.

Litchfield's Stephen Pennertz faced 39 batters in 8Xc innings giving up ten hits with three strikeouts for the win.

The Blues' Eric Hulterstrom chimed in at the plate going 2-for-4 with two RBI's while Chris Thompson went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The Blues scored four times in the bottom of the eighth to end a 3-all tie.
