Amateur baseball: Bullfrogs top Raymond

RAYMOND -- Luke Kramer had a bases-clearing double in No. 4 Bird Island's four-run first inning, and the Bullfrogs beat No. 1-seed Raymond on Friday.

Bird Island roughed up Raymond starter Tyler Knott for nine runs in two innings on its way to a 13-4 win.

The Bullfrogs' Ryan Hebrink was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Sean Dollarschell and Dylan Gass each had two hits.

For the Rockets, Brandon Madsen was 3-for-4 and Mike Jeseritz was 1-for-4 with a double and three RBIs.

Raymond will play in an elimination game on Wednesday night in the loser's bracket.

Bird Island will play on Sunday against the winner of Friday's Sacred Heart-Milroy game.
