RAYMOND -- Tyler Knott hurled a complete game with 11 strikeouts and Raymond launched three home runs in a seven-run third inning as the Rockets upended Willmar 11-5 in the second round of the Cornbelt South playoffs Friday.

The top-seeded Rockets will now host either Milroy or Sacred Heart on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. for a berth in the Region 9C playoffs. Willmar will host either Granite Falls or Bird Island in an elimination game Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

The Milroy-Sacred Heart game Friday was postponed until today due to rain. Milroy, the No. 2 seed, was leading 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Bird Island-Granite Falls game was postponed by rain in the top of the seventh inning with the Islanders leading, 10-3. That game will be continued at 7:30 p.m. today in Granite Falls.

Willmar got on the board first when Matt Seehusen belted a three-run homer in the first inning. Raymond scored single runs in the first and second innings before erupting for seven in the third.

The Rockets sent up 11 batters to the plate in the frame and got six hits, highlighted by two-run homers from Kyle Knott and Jason Meyer and a solo homer from Ben Ruter.

The Rails produced two more runs in the sixth to cap the scoring on Anthony Stern's two-run homer.

Raymond outhit Willmar 12-6. Jordan Smith ignited the Rockets by going 3-for-4 with a double and Ruter, Mike Jeseritz and Zach Nelson added two hits apiece.

Jordan Olson got the loss after surviving only two innings, giving up four hits, six runs and three walks. Darin Ditterich worked the final six innings, surrendering eight hits and four runs -- three earned -- whiling walking four and striking out four.

Stern and Seehusen had two hits apiece for the Rails.
