Schroeder walked seven in his complete-game performance, but he also struck out six and got plenty of help from the Twins' 13-hit attack. Schroeder is a draftee from the Atwater Chuckers.

NLS advanced to the semifinals after getting a superb pitching performance from Kevin Soine in a 1-0 win over Farming Saturday afternoon. Soine struck out eight and gave up six hits and just one walk in nine innings of work. He also scored the game's lone run when he came home from third base on Tyler Horning's sacrifice fly.

In Sunday's win, Soine singled in the first, second and fourth innings and scored twice. Horning, Scott Rambow, Mike Danielson and Jay Magnuson added two hits each. Rambow singled in Soine in the first and Horning delivered an RBI single in the fourth.

The Twins will play Friday at 8:15 p.m. in St. Martin against Richmond with the winner advancing to the region title game.
