FARMING — The NLS Twins stayed alive in the region 15C playoffs, slipping by the St. Martin Martins 8-6 on Sunday.

The Twins trailed 5-0 after five but put up back-to-back 4-run innings.

Atwater import Justin Schroeder went all nine innings for the win. He threw 154 pitches in an 11-hitter.

Scott Rambow bases-clearing double in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in the game. He finished with two hits and four RBIs.

Dean Stier and Kevin Soine also played big roles offensively. Dean Stier also supplied a  bases-clearing double and Kevin Soine hit a solo home run.

Eight errors and just five hits doomed the Twins in the opening round Saturday at Farming.

Former Paynesville Bulldog and Ridgewater Warrior Nathan Nietfeld proved dominant in a seven-inning shutout.

The Lakers roughed up Twins’ starter Kevin Soine for 12 and 13 runs in 6Z\c innings.

Scott Rambow’s double was the Twins’ lone extra-base hit.
