SACRED HEART -- After a seven-inning game that lasted nearly three hours and featured 23 walks and five hit batters, Willmar came away a 16-5 winner over Sacred Heart Sunday in the Cornbelt South League.

The teams combined for just 10 hits, but Sacred Heart (3-8, 5-15) was doomed by its eight errors and 12 walks issued by four pitchers.

The Rails (8-6, 8-7) scored one run in each of the first three innings before stretching its lead to 7-0 with a four-run fourth. Jordan Olson's two-run double and Matt Sagedahl's RBI single highlighted the frame.

Sacred Heart pulled within 7-4 after David Schjenken singled in a run in the fourth and three runs came across in the fifth before Willmar put the game away by plating nine runs in the sixth.

The Rails sent up 14 batters to the plate in the frame with Alex Marcus' single the only RBI hit Willmar got in the inning. The Saints walked in a run four times and also hit a batter to drive in a run in the sixth.

Kyle Knott's two-run home run in the fourth inning gave the Rockets (12-1, 20-6) the winning margin, highlighting a four-run inning.

Raymond took a 3-0 lead after the second inning. The Chuckers (6-6, 7-10) cut the lead to 8-3 in the seventh.

Jed Nelson went 4-for-6 to lead the Rockets. Matt Tanner had three hits for Atwater.

Paul Gjerde slugged a three-run double, Scott Olson doubled in another run and Dan Leritz singled in two runs during a six-run sixth inning for Norway Lake-Sunburg (8-4, 9-6).

Jason Roepke struck out eight, surrendered four hits and one earned run in seven innings of work to pick up the win. The Lakers collected 16 hits to gave Roepke plenty of support.

Leritz and Olson also singled in runs in a four-run third for the Lakers. Mike Tanhoff had two hits for Granite Falls.

Shane Radermacher pitched seven innings of scoreless relief to lead Regal (4-8, 9-9).

New London-Spicer (5-6, 7-6) tagged Regal starter Chris Beier with four hits and four earned runs through the first two-plus innings. Radermacher allowed just one hit the rest of the way. He struck out seven and walked four.

A.J. Hadley led Regal with three hits.

Brady Toops and Tony Salonek had two hits each for the Twins.

Norway Lake-Sunburg batted around in the third and sixth inning and sent up 13 batters to the plate in the fifth to win easily.

Jason Roepke hit a two-run double and James Cortez also had a double drive in a run in the fifth inning and Paul Gjerde doubled in two runs in a five-run third for the Lakers.

Wes Stettner struck out seven, walked two and gave up only two hits in his complete-game victory.

Watkins sent up 10 batters to the plate in the ninth inning to rally for six runs and stun Raymond. Winning pitcher Mike Beier, who went 3-for-5 at the plate, singled in two runs with two outs to end the game.

Joe Schlagel singled in a run in the ninth before scoring on Travis Epema's fielder's choice to give Raymond a 6-1 lead. Schlagel also singled in a run during a three-run fourth that also featured RBI doubles from Mike Kragenbring and Kyle Knott.
