Amateur Golf: Marks wins Olivia club title

OLIVIA -- Rick Marks was planning to play in the first flight at the annual Olivia Golf Club championship on Sunday. But organizers needed players to fill out the championship flight and Marks didn't complain when organizers moved him up.

He's certainly not complaining after the tournament, either.

Marks shot a 5-over 113 over 27 holes to win the club championship. Curt Weis was second with a 117 and Daren Sagedahl was third with a 122.

Matt Hennen defended his first flight championship with an 85 over 18 holes. Mark Thiesse shot 89 to win the second flight, and former club champion Gary Herman shot 79 to win the senior flight.
