Amy Pawelk receives photographic scholarship
WILLMAR — Amy Pawelk, owner of Images by Amy Lynn of Willmar, has received the Lundgren Scholarship from the Minnesota Professional Photographers Association for continuing education and to further develop her photography career.
Pawelk received the award for excellence in professional photography at the regional photographic print competition March 17 in St. Paul. The scholarship is given to an individual who is relatively new in the photography industry and needs to be nominated by past MNPPA presidents.
Pawelk has been in business in Willmar for the past five years and has had the studio for a little over two years now. She is a graduate of Ridgewater College where she studied graphic design and photography.
After college, she went to Texas for a month-long internship and then traveled to other educational events in the U.S. She has shared her education at Ridgewater and has volunteered on the MNPPA board as a district representative.
