Anderson opens Willmar, Minn., law office

WILLMAR -- Thomas Anderson has opened Anderson Law Offices, 1001 First St. S., Suite B, (Tiffany Square) in Willmar. He can be reached by calling 320-262-3915.

Anderson has practiced as a licensed attorney in Willmar since 2005. He is a Willmar native, graduating from Willmar High School in 1994. Anderson graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, with a bachelor's degree in history and sociology and a minor in classical studies in 1999.

He attended the New England School of Law in Boston where he earned his juris doctor in 2005 and worked as an attorney for the law firm of Johnson, Moody, Schmidt and Kleinhuizen in Willmar, practicing primarily in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense.

In March 2012, he started Anderson Law Offices and, in April, was hired by the city of Willmar to handle all city criminal prosecution work. In addition to serving as the city's criminal prosecutor, Anderson maintains a general practice representing both private and corporate clients in a variety of matters including personal injury law, contract litigation, insurance law, and property law.

Anderson is a past president of the 12th District Bar Association and is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Minnesota Association for Justice.

Anderson currently sits on the 12th District Ethics Board, the Eagle Creek Golf Board of Directors, and the Willmar Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

He and his wife, Dr. Jessica Falk, live in Willmar.
