Anna Woltjer Sept. 5, 1929 - Nov. 20, 2008
WILLMAR -- Anna Woltjer, 79, of Willmar died Thursday at the Rice Care Center in Willmar.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and at the church for one hour before the service.
She was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Ruthton to Frank and Goldie (Patton) MacRunnel. The family lived in various areas, including New London, Spicer and Windom.
She was married to Michael Thorp Sr.
She later married Louis Woltjer Sr. on June 12, 1962. They lived and farmed in the Raymond area. After her husband's death in 1979, she moved to Willmar. She worked various jobs doing cleaning and cooking.
She is survived by her children: Dale MacRunnel of Florida, Donna Nelson of Brooklyn Park, Michael Thorp Jr. of Richfield, Sheryl Maxson of Tennessee, Louis Woltjer (and Barb Kurtz) of Wahpeton, N.D., Judy (and Larry) Brooks of Rhinelander, Wis., Nancy Monin of Brooklyn Park and Betty (and Russell) Kuperus of New London; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother: Harold MacRunnel of Iowa; and special friend: Gust Johnson of Brooten.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two children, brothers and a sister.
