'Annie' auditions
"Annie" is coming to The Barn Theatre July 8 - 25.
More than 100 men, women and children filled The Barn lobby and stage with "song, dance and excitement" Monday and Tuesday during auditions for the upcoming production.
Casting is under way for the roles of Annie, Daddy Warbucks, Miss Hannigan, Grace Farrell, Rooster, Lily, Bert, the Boylan Sisters, President Roosevelt, orphans, servants and the Hooverville boys.
The Barn Theatre's production of "Annie" will be directed by Nikki Bettcher Erickson. Also signed on as part of the production crew are Darcy Lease Gubrud, vocal director; Dennis Benson, orchestra director; Carol Olson, technical director; Charlie Olson, choreographer; Carol Parker, pianist; Becky Sorenson and Louanne Villnow, stage managers; and Joanne Meierhofer, costumes.
The Barn Theatre is located at 321 Fourth St. S.W. in downtown Willmar. "Annie" is the second show in The Barn's summer line-up. Ticket sales will be begin next month.
