Email

DALLAS (AP) -- Matt Capps and the Minnesota Twins agreed to a $4.75 million, one-year contract, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Monday.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement had not yet been announced.

A 28-year-old right-hander, Capps was 4-7 with a 4.25 ERA and 15 saves in 24 chances this year in his first full season with the Twins, who acquired him from Washington in June 2010. He made $7.15 million.
