Applications sought for MnSCU Board of Trustees
Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees is currently accepting applications for four positions on the board.
The Board provides leadership in such areas as academic programs, fiscal management, personnel, admissions requirements, tuition and fees, and rules and regulations.
The Trustee Candidate Advisory Council is currently seeking candidates to fill four open seats on the 15-member Board of Trustees; these seats are designated as one Second Congressional District position, one Sixth Congressional District position, and two at-large positions. The terms are six years in length.
Appointments to the positions will be made by Gov. Mark Dayton.
Candidates for the positions should apply to the council by Monday, June 4, 2012. From the pool of applicants, the TCAC will invite selected candidates for public interviews on June 13th and June 14th 2012. Interviews will be held at the State Office Building in St. Paul.
The Board of Trustees governs a total system of 31 state universities, community colleges and technical colleges with 54 campuses in 47 communities throughout the state.
