Area racing gears up for spring starts

If they haven't by now, area stock car drivers can start getting their racers ready for the 2009 season.

KRA racing at the fairgrounds in Willmar has scheduled a May 7 opener, followed by Fiesta City in Montevideo on May 15 and Madison Speedway on May 25.

Drag racers get an early start at Grove Creek Raceway at Grove City with a test and tune on April 18 and competitive races the next day.
