BELVIEW -- Arleen Pearl Huhnerkoch, 89, of Belview died Wednesday at Parkview Home in Belview.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vesta. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Sheridan Township.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorials are preferred to Redwood Area Hospice.
She was born Aug. 26, 1919, in Paxton Township, Redwood County, to August and Emma (Keil) Mell. She attended country school District 107 in Redwood County through the 8th grade.
She married Orville Huhnerkoch on Sept. 17, 1939, in Sheridan Township, Redwood County. They lived their entire married life in Kintire Township near Belview. She remained on the farm after her husband's death in 1993 and moved to her Parkview apartment in Belview in 1999.
She is survived by her children: Florence Berquist of Hinckley, Lois (and Dean) Sather of Madison, Elaine (and Sherwood) Knutson of Canby, Dorothy (and Robert) Markling of Cold Spring, Robert (and Vickie) Huhnerkoch of Glenwood, and Janet (and Allen) Saunders of Benson; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one granddaughter; son-in-law: Jim Berquist; and three brothers.
