HECTOR -- Arlis Illene Sullivan, 73, of Hector died Monday at Prairie View of Hector.
The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church in Hector. Burial will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Stewart.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.
She was born Aug. 3, 1935, in Sleepy Eye to Marvin and Marie (Daniels) Wenz. She grew up in Hector and graduated from Hector High School in 1953.
She married Donald Sullivan on March 17, 1954. They lived in Stewart until 1968 and then moved to a country home south of Hector.
She worked various occupations: in a restaurant, as a factory worker, at C.S.I. and Fingerhut, and as a cook at Hector High School and Buffalo Lake Nursing Home for several years.
She is survived by her children: Mike (and Cynthia) Sullivan of Chisago City, Doug (and LuAnn) Sullivan of New Ulm, Ron (and Deb) Sullivan of Bird Island, Donna (and Tim) Ulrich of Buffalo Lake, Pat Sullivan (and special friend Jodie) of Apple Valley, and Diane (and Tom) Wohnoutka of Bird Island; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998 and a sister.
