PAYNESVILLE -- Arnold Helmuth Rosenau, 84, of Litchfield died Thursday at the Koronis Manor in Paynesville.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City with military honors by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield and continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
He was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Truman to John and Mayme (Wetenkamp) Rosenau. He grew up and received his education in Truman. He lived in Willmar prior to being drafted into the U.S. Army, where he was in the special services stationed in Japan. After the service, he farmed in rural Grove City.
He married Phyllis Arnold on Sept. 2, 1950, at First Lutheran Church in Grove City.
He is survived by his wife; 10 children: Don (and Lynn) Rosenau of Hector, Dianna Young of Hutchinson, Linda (and Niel) Duesterhoeft of Hutchinson, Shirley Dummer of Hutchinson, Ray Rosenau of Hutchinson, Paula Engebretson of Owatonna, Bev (and Mark) Gaspar of St. Louis Park, Sandy (and Rob) Voelkel of Brooklyn Park, Md., Janet (and Herman) Buschel of Hutchinson and Kathy Rosenau of Litchfield; 33 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Arthur (and Lavonne) Rosenau of Willmar, Leona Kruger of Villard and Arline Woltjer of Willmar.
He was preceded in death by two sons in infancy; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; and son-in-law: Kerry Schmitz.
