A sign on the front door of the house at 201 Havana St. N.E. says authorities suspect the property is the victim of arson. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the fire to call the Willmar Police Department at 235-2244.

Calvin said the police department, the State Fire Marshal's Office and Willmar Fire Department are investigating the fire.

Calvin said the department was called between 2:30 and 2:45 a.m. Firefighters found fire in the basement, first floor and second floor. They entered the building and extinguished the flames. Firefighters were on the scene for about 3 hours. No injuries were reported.

Calvin said mutual aid was received from the New London, Raymond and Pennock fire departments.

Calvin said the house is not habitable. The house was not occupied and neighbors said it had been vacant for a couple of weeks. Calvin said power to the house had been turned off. He would not say if there was any furniture in the house.
