Kurt Browning headlines ice show
WILLMAR -- The Diamond Edge Figure Skating Club presents its 2009 skating show at 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday at the Willmar Civic Center.
The show, "Skating Around Town," features nearly 100 young skaters from throughout the region at various skill levels.
The guest skaters performing at this year's show are Canadian figure skating champion Kurt Browning and the skating pair of Olivia Oltmanns and Tyler Broderick, from the Kansas City Figure Skating Club who recently won the US Junior Championships at the Intermediate Pairs level.
Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for ages 4 to 18 and are available at Cash Wise Foods in Willmar. Tickets at the door are subject to available seating and are $12 and $7.
St. John's Chorus performs tonight
WILLMAR --St. John's University Men's Chorus will begin its spring tour at 7:30 p.m. tonight at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar.
The chorus, under the direction of Dr. Axel Theimer, will perform sacred and secular music.
Admission is a free will donation to help defray travel expenses.
