'Alladin' children's theater

on stage Friday, Saturday

WILLMAR -- "Alladin and His Magic Lamp" will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday at WEAC in Willmar.

The performance will feature Prairie Fire Children's Theatre and 80 local youth in an original version of "Alladin and His Magic Lamp," not to be confused with Disney's "Aladdin."

Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for students, with preschoolers admitted free. The tickets will be available at the door.

Valentine afternoon of arts

NEW LONDON -- "Music, Love Letters and Lunch" is set for 2 p.m. Sunday at The Little Theatre in New London.

The event is designed as a casual Valentine's Day afternoon of community sharing from the New London Writer's Club and artist musicians. Complimentary lunch and coffee will be provided by The Little Theatre. Everyone is welcome. Bring a paper item for the New London Food Shelf if you can.

Sweetheart dance in Glenwood

GLENWOOD -- The Winter Dance Club will host a special dress-up sweetheart dance from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood.

John Morton's ballroom dance band, "The Velvet Brass Band," plays a mix of dance music including big band, '50s/'60s, and old time. Sweethearts of all ages are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served. Cost is $20 per couple or by membership, no jeans or shorts.
