SMSU Concert

Willmar, Saturday, 7:30 p.m., Willmar High School; Southwest Minnesota State University concert choir and the SMSU/Community concert band concert. The concert band will perform standard works for band of various styles, as well as several holiday selections. The choir is selected by audition and "performs some of the finest selections from the vocal literature."

Betty Vos Hemstad will sign copies of her book "Wildflowers of the Boundary Waters: Hiking Through the Seasons" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Book World in the Kandi Mall in Willmar. Vos Hemstad, a native of Roseland, took the photos over a 20-year time span.

Dan Houseman will read his book "How Harvey and His Friends Saved the Barn" to children and their parents and grandparents on Nov. 27 at Three Sisters Furnishings, rural New London. The store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
