Curtis Dahlin is giving a series of lectures in Renville County Libraries. He has authored several books on the Dakota War of 1862. He will speak at 7 p.m. today at the Hector Community Center on "Trails of Tears: Minnesota's Dakota Indian Exile Begins."
Annette Atkins will discuss her book, "Creating Minnesota: A History from the Inside Out" at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Raymond Public Library. Atkins is a professor of history at St. John's University. This innovative history invites readers to experience the texture of people's lives through the decades, offering a fascinating approach to the history of our state.
