Bus trips by community education and other non-profit groups to art related events are listed below according to the date of the event. Price must be included.

Kandiyohi County Horticultural Society: Bus tour to the Sacred Heart and Renville stopping at four private gardens on June 23 leaving at 8 a.m. from the Willmar Community Center. Cost is $20 for non-members, $10 for members. To reserve a seat call 320-974-8776 or 320-796-6416, or mail your payment to Jan Johnson, PO Box 359, Atwater, MN by June 19. Bring cash for lunch which will be a buffet at Bart's Place in Renville.

Swift County Historical Society: Bus trip July 27 to Veterans Museum in Perham with time to shop at the unique shops including a quilt shop before stopping at Carlos Creek Winery. Bus leaves museum at 8 a.m. and should arrive back in Benson at 6:30 p.m.; $32 per person includes morning coffee, museum admittance, wine glass and samples; noon lunch is extra. Purchase ticket at museum or mail to Swift County Historical Society, 2135 Minnesota Ave., Benson, 56215 before July 10.

Kandiyohi County Historical Society: Bus trip to Minneapolis on July 30 to "Step into the heart of Swedish America" with a tour of the American Swedish Institute's Turnblad Mansion and Museum including a "smorgasbord" buffet and the program "Immigrant trunk"; $55 per person, leaves Kandiyohi County Historical Society at 8:45 a.m. Registration and payment required by July 24, call 320-235-1881.

Book signing

Dean Urdahl will sign copies of his book, "Retribution," from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 27 at Book World in the Kandi Mall in Willmar. This is the second book in his trilogy about the Indian uprising of 1862.
