Kandiyohi County Historical Society

WILLMAR -- The Kandiyohi County Historical Society will have an open house from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Oct. 18 at the museum in Willmar. Photographer Doug Ohman will present a slide show and book signing on the "Cabins of Minnesota" at 2 p.m. the annual business meeting will be at 3.30 p.m.; freewill donation.

SMAHC

WILLMAR -- The annual Southwest Minnesota Arts and Humanities Council dinner and fundraiser will begin at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Willmar Holiday Inn and Conference Center. Honored for their contributions to the arts in the SMAHC region will be the 2009 Prairie Star winner Robert Mattson of New London and the 2009 Prairie Disciple recipient Joe Paddock of Litchfield. Dinner tickets are $30 and are available by calling 800-622-5284 or by e-mail at smahcinfo@iw.net; deadline is Oct. 19.

Barn Theatre

WILLMAR -- The annual meeting for season ticket holders of the Willmar Community Theatre, Inc., also known as The Barn Theatre, will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at The Barn Theatre in Willmar. The public is welcome.
